Cake For One Recipe

I received this recipe in an email, it's a cake for one person you make in a coffee mug and cook in the microwave.

I tried it and it's really good, it tastes like a sponge cake. It's cool to watch it cook too, it rises up above the mug while cooking then shrinks back down as it cools and it's in the shape of a can or tube. It's fun to make and it would be a fun thing to do with kids on a rainy day.

Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:
4 Tablespoons cake flour
4 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons cocoa
1 Egg
3 Tablespoons milk
3 Tablespoons oil
3 Tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
1 Coffee Mug

Instructions:
Mix flour, sugar and cocoa. Spoon in 1 egg and mix well with fork.
Pour in milk, oil and choc chips and mix well with a spoon.
Put in microwave for 3 minutes on maximum power (1000watt) or 4 minutes for 700watt.
Wait until it stops rising and sets in the mug
Tip contents out of mug onto saucer and serve.

This would also be good topped with cool whip or chocolate syrup and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Maybe even serve with a side of canned cherries (for pie filling) for a quick Black Forest cake.
